7 Signs of Male Insecurity That Turn Women Off

Some of the things that men do to avoid turning women off actually end up turning women off.

Why?

The behaviors reveal insecurity and fear, rather than confidence and bravery.

Another way to say it, is that the behaviors reveal emotional weakness, rather than emotional strength.

Since women are attracted to emotional strength and turned off by emotional weakness, displaying any of the following signs does not help you.

Women don't want it and it doesn't make you feel good either.

So, don't do it.

1. You Break Eye Contact With Attractive Women

Imagine walking into a store and noticing a beautiful woman working there.

She's exactly your type.

She looks at you, your eyes meet and you immediately look away.

Why?

You either feel insecure about maintaining eye contact with her, or assume it might seem rude, or sleazy.

Now, compare that to a guy who's genuinely confident around beautiful women.

When she looks at him, he is able to comfortably maintain eye contact, smile and remain relaxed, or just maintain eye contact and be chill and not smile.

It doesn't matter because he doesn't feel intimidated by her beauty and doesn't think it's 'wrong' to make eye contact with a woman.

As a result, she can sense his confidence and will feel an initial spark of attraction for him because of that.

On the other hand, when a guy nervously looks away, a woman will usually sense that he's uncomfortable around her, or just lacks confidence around women in general.

That doesn't mean every time a man looks away is unattractive to a woman.

Instead, a woman can sense when a guy is looking away out of fear, or looking away while still feeling confident and comfortable around her.

2. You Feel Like it's Wrong to Show Interest in a Woman

Some guys have been misinformed by naive, insecure guys on TikTok and YouTube (and in their personal life) that showing interest in a woman will make them seem needy or desperate.

So, what do they do?

They pretend not to be interested in women.

They act indifferent, hide their attraction to women and hope that women will somehow become interested in them.

Yet, it doesn't work.

On the other hand, guys who are good with women don't pretend to be uninterested in women.

Instead, a guy who is good with women can meet an attractive woman, show some interest and create a spark between him and her immediately.

He's not ashamed of finding her attractive.

He's comfortable with it.

Importantly, she also likes it because women like to be liked by guys who are able to spark their attraction.

Women don't enjoy being liked by guys who can't spark their attraction (e.g. guys who feel very nervous or awkward around them, guys who are being extra nice in the hope that it will create attraction, etc).

Yet, if you can spark a woman's attraction in some simple ways (here are some examples of how to spark a woman's attraction), they really do like it when you have the confidence to show some interest in them too.

The attraction is then mutual and it feels good for both you and her.

Of course, that doesn't mean you should express sexual interest in every woman you meet, regardless of the situation.

Instead, you just need to be ready and willing to express it with the women you like, so you don't miss out on opportunities by being too neutral, or just acting (yes, acting) like you just want to be her friend.

3. You're Too Worried About Saying the Right Thing

Have you ever been talking to an attractive woman and found yourself overthinking what to say next?

You don't want to say anything wrong, so you keep running what you're about to say through your mind to check if it's okay.

You don't want her to think you're weird, so you play it safe.

You don't want to ruin your chance with her, so you default to just being nice and friendly and hope that she gradually begins to like you (she needs to feel attracted to you, not just like you as a person).

As a result, you filter almost everything that comes out of your mouth.

The problem is that your real personality then gets lost in the process of you doing that.

So, instead of experiencing the relaxed, confident version of you, she's interacting with a hesitant, guarded version of you that feels hard to connect with.

Something feels off.

Now, to be clear, there's nothing wrong with having manners, class or tact when talking to a woman.

However, there's a big difference between having good social skills and manners and being afraid to say what you really want to say when talking to a woman.

Confident men can joke around, express opinions and be themselves around a woman they like, which sends so many positive signals to the woman about his attractiveness as a person.

That's the type of freedom of expression you need to develop as a man.

When you stop overthinking every word, conversations with attractive women become much more enjoyable for BOTH of you.

Yet, if you worry too much about saying the wrong thing, conversations feel awkward, forced and uncomfortable for both of you, which doesn't easily lead to kissing, sex or relationships.

4. You Doubt That She Could Like You, So You Don't Even Try

This is one of the most frustrating forms of insecurity because it can cause you to avoid opportunities with women, before even giving yourself a chance.

You see a beautiful woman and immediately assume she wouldn't be interested.

You might think you're not good-looking enough, or maybe you're not tall enough, successful enough or cool enough.

So, you don't even try to talk to her.

Meanwhile, another guy who isn't necessarily better-looking, taller or more successful than you confidently starts talking to her.

...and she likes him.

Why?

Because he gave himself a chance.

He didn't automatically disqualify himself before she'd even gotten to know him.

Here's a comment that a guy left on one of my YouTube videos recently, where he witnessed this happened in person.

Think about how many opportunities with women you may have missed because you assumed they wouldn't be interested.

Now imagine how different your life could become when you stop making that assumption.

5. You Wait for Signs of Approval Before Feeling Confident

If you need women to show you interest before you can feel confident, you have what I call Dependent Confidence.

Your confidence depends on how women are reacting to you.

If a beautiful woman smiles, laughs at your jokes and shows interest, you then start to feel confident.

Yet, if she seems distracted, indifferent towards you, or a challenge to impress, your feel insecure and self-doubting.

Suddenly, you're questioning yourself with things like...

"Does she like me?"

"Does she not like my appearance?"

"Am I good enough for her?"

Now, compare that to a man who has what I call Independent Confidence.

He doesn't need a woman to constantly reassure him that he's good enough.

Instead, he already feels confident regardless of what anyone else says or does around him.

A woman's reactions don't determine his value as a man.

Imagine how freeing that would feel if you could be that confident.

You could interact with women without constantly worrying about whether they approve of you.

That's the level of confidence you want to develop.

6. You See Beautiful Women as Being Out of Your League

Imagine walking into a party and noticing several beautiful women.

What's your immediate reaction?

Do you feel like you're good enough for them, or do you automatically assume they must ONLY want guys who are better than you (e.g. taller, better-looking, more successful)?

If you're constantly placing beautiful women above yourself, you're making it unnecessarily difficult for yourself to feel confident around them.

You're giving their appearance the power to determine your value.

Yet, a woman's beauty doesn't automatically make her more valuable than you as a person.

She's a human being, just like you.

She has insecurities and imperfections that you may not be able to focus on, due to feeling attracted to her appearance.

On the other hand, a confident man doesn't automatically place himself beneath a woman simply because she's beautiful.

He sees himself as worthy of her and when he interacts with her, he's able to demonstrate attractive qualities that trigger attraction inside of women (e.g. confidence, charm, social intelligence, flirting, secure masculinity).

That's an important realization that many insecure men never figure out.

A woman who initially thinks you're average-looking can begin finding you sexually attractive as she experiences your confidence, masculinity charm and other parts of your personality.

Yet, she can't experience those qualities properly if you've already decided she's out of your league and avoided her, or interact with her while feeling a lot of self-doubt and insecurity.

7. You're Afraid to Express Your Real Personality

Some guys complain that women don't like them for who they are.

Yet, when they interact with attractive women, they're not actually being themselves.

They're hiding their sense of humor.

They're holding back their real opinions.

They're trying to be extra nice, polite or neutral.

Why?

They're afraid of being judged or rejected for expressing their authentic self.

The irony is that the woman never gets to experience the version of him, but he is complaining that women don't like him for who he is.

Since he's afraid to express his real personality around her, she meets a restricted version of him, which usually isn't going to very attractive or interesting to her.

Now, imagine being able to express your real personality around beautiful women without feeling insecure.

You can joke around, flirt, express yourself in a more untamed way (rather than being an overly-tamed guy) and enjoy the interaction.

You're not constantly monitoring what you're saying to make sure you seem like Mr. Perfect.

Instead, you're simply being the confident, authentic version of yourself, which makes a HUGE difference to how women feel around you.

You Can Overcome These Insecurities

If you recognized yourself in a number of those signs, don't assume that you're stuck being that way for the rest of your life.

Confidence isn't something you either have or don't have.

There are levels to confidence.

I know because I spent years feeling insecure around women myself.

I eventually got to the point where I was tired of feeling that way.

I wanted to become the confident man I'd always imagined I could be.

So, I started figuring out the mindsets and perspective shifts that would take my confidence to the next level.

As my confidence improved, my results with women changed as well.

Women who previously would've intimidated me and felt no attraction for me, were now finding me attractive and I was feeling confident and sure of myself around them.

I was able to relax, flirt and enjoy myself around beautiful women rather than worrying about whether I was good enough for them.

That then made them look as me as being 'one of them' or part of the 'cool crowd' and on their level, which opened them up to me.

Whereas, in the past, I would seem like an outsider to them, a guy who was hoping to be accepted and given a chance, which attractive women feel very turned off by.

The more my confidence increased, the better results I got with women.

That's the kind of change I want you to experience as well.
